Life gets loud. You deserve a place where you can be heard.

I’m Jimmy, a licensed counselor who thinks a counseling session should feel more like a conversation than a lecture. Together we’ll identify your goals, pair them with evidence-based strategies and turn down the noise.

How often do we meet?

3

We begin meeting weekly, often clients then choose to continue to meet every other week or even monthly to maintain their progress.

Who am I and what’s my story?

I’ve been a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice since 2001. My first 17 years as a therapist overlapped with the final half of my 34-year career as an educator, teaching psychology to both secondary and graduate students. These experiences have shaped how I approach counseling and the value I place on understanding people as individuals.

As a preacher’s kid, I’d describe myself as spiritual with a healthy respect for religion. Creativity has always been part of who I am, especially through music, which I’ve performed professionally since age 16. I’ve also owned and operated several successful businesses and continue to enjoy competitive swimming.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, have one child and three grandchildren, and feel fortunate to have an incredible circle of friends I consider family. I believe life is about connection, growth, and making a difference—and those values carry into my work as a therapist.

The common thread in everything I do is a desire to make a difference.
